Known to many as Pastor G, Gary Lamb is the founding pastor of Action Church in Ball Ground, Georgia. Action was created for people who never felt like they fit in traditional church culture. Gary is known for his raw honesty, direct preaching style, and deep love for people, leading with the conviction that Jesus is best experienced without religious performance or pretense.

Gary’s story is one of redemption, rebuilding, and grace. After losing everything earlier in life, he experienced firsthand how God restores what’s broken and uses imperfect people to do extraordinary things. That journey shapes how he preaches, leads, and how Action Church shows up in the community.

Under Gary’s leadership, Action Church has grown by focusing on authenticity, real community, and meeting people exactly where they are. From gathering in unconventional spaces to serving the city in practical ways, Action exists to be a church for the unchurched, the dechurched, and those who thought church wasn’t for them anymore.

Gary’s mission is simple but relentless, make Jesus known, build real community, and remind people that grace still works.

Outside the church, Gary is deeply involved in creating community through events, festivals, and partnerships across North Georgia, driven by the same passion to bring people together and point them toward hope.

Gary is married to Christine Lamb and is the proud dad of four children.
